Can the proof of academic achievement/assignment/exam be repeated?

This question pertains to the study and examination regulations set by Steinbeis University.

If an individual performance record has not been fulfilled, it may be repeated. With the exception of the thesis, proof of academic achievement (germ. Leistungsnachweis) accompanying the course of study may be repeated twice. The thesis may be repeated once. The defense of the thesis may be repeated once. This applies accordingly to the oral part of the examination following the thesis, insofar as this is provided for.

The repetition of a successfully completed performance record is not permitted.

Upon written and justified application to the PAS, a single further repetition in case of hardship is possible for each individual examination performance. This hardship application must be submitted within four weeks after the grades have been announced. The applicant must ensure that the application is submitted on time. The last possible repeat attempt is taken by at least two examiners. If the application for the last possible retake is not submitted in time, is rejected or if this retake is not passed, this is considered as a final fail and leads to exmatriculation. If the degree can no longer be achieved in accordance with the respective examination regulations by failing the examination, the entire examination is also failed.
