# All Information about the S-NEXT Student Email Address (Office365 Account)
## When and How Do I Receive My Login Data? How Do I Log In with Them? And What Does My Email Address Have To Do with MS Office365?
### When Will I Receive My Student Email Address?
**After the studystart**, all students will receive their personal login information via email from our IT Support Team **in the following week**. The email will also include a brief guide on how to set up your email account using MS Office365.
### What Is the Connection between My Student Email Address and MS Office365?
Our goal is to provide you with all the necessary tools to make your studies as easy as possible. One of these tools is Microsoft Office365. With your student email address, you also have access to an "**A1 License for Students**" from MS Office365. This allows you to use popular **Office programs** such as **Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams** directly in your **browser**. This means you can access these programs anytime and use them conveniently from anywhere.
**Your student email address and corresponding password serve not only for writing and receiving emails but also as your login credentials for your MS Office365 account.**
### How Do I Log In with My Access Data?
- Open [www.office.com.](http://www.office.com)
- Log in to the "**Login**" section using your login credentials (firstname.lastname@student.steinbeis-next.de) and the corresponding initialization password that you received in the **initialization email** we sent you when you joined SNext. For **new students starting in 2026**, the username consists of the first letter of the first name and the last name, e.g., v.nachname@student.steinbeis-next.de.
- Follow the instructions provided by Microsoft to activate your account.
- During the initialization process, you will be asked to create a new **personal password** and install an **Authenticator app** on your smartphone. Both of these steps together form a **two-factor authentication** system that helps protect your personal data.
**Tip**: You can find out how to log in with **two-factor authentication** and set up the required **Authenticator app** on your cell phone and link it to your account here:
For more detailed information on the **multi-factor authentication** **process at Microsoft**, you can visit the **Microsoft Support** website.

**Please Note**: The license for your account does not include the use of Office apps on your *desktop*. However, you can still access and use the programs through your *browser* at [www.office.com](http://www.office.com).
