When Will I Receive My Student Email Address?

After the studystart, all students will receive their personal login information via email from our IT Support Team in the following week. The email will also include a brief guide on how to set up your email account using MS Office365.

What Is the Connection between My Student Email Address and MS Office365?

Our goal is to provide you with all the necessary tools to make your studies as easy as possible. One of these tools is Microsoft Office365. With your student email address, you also have access to an "A1 License for Students" from MS Office365. This allows you to use popular Office programs such as Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams directly in your browser. This means you can access these programs anytime and use them conveniently from anywhere.

Your student email address and corresponding password serve not only for writing and receiving emails but also as your login credentials for your MS Office365 account.

How Do I Log In with My Access Data?

  • Open www.office.com.
  • Log in to the "Login" section using your login credentials (firstname.lastname@student.steinbeis-next.de) and the corresponding initialization password that you received in the initialization email from us after the start of your studies.
  • Follow the instructions provided by Microsoft to activate your account.
  • During the initialization process, you will be asked to create a new personal password and install an Authenticator app on your smartphone. Both of these steps together form a two-factor authentication system that helps protect your personal data.
