What are the admission requirements for the M.Sc. in Business Management?
The question refers to the M.Sc. Business Management program.
- Admission to the Master's degree course in Business Management is open to anyone who has completed a state-recognized university degree course with a business background of at least 180 CT or an equivalent course at a university in Germany or abroad. The responsible examination board decides on equivalence.
- Applicants with related but not directly comparable degrees may be admitted subject to the condition. Missing CP according to ECTS, which are required for admission, can be acquired through additional modules within our or other academic institutions. Proof of outstanding achievements must be submitted to the university no later than 9 months after the start of enrolment. Details are determined by the Examination Board.
- If the completed first degree was not in economics, the following must be proven by the first degree or other examination results at qualification level 6 of the German Qualifications Framework: 15 CP, in particular from the following subjects:
- General and special business administration
- Economics
- Specialized areas of law, e.g. commercial law, society - Applicants whose native language is not English and whose first university degree was not obtained at an educational institution where English is the language of instruction require proof of their English language skills (level B2 CEFR). This requirement is met by anyone who can provide proof of 6 years of school English in the form of a school leaving certificate or university entrance qualification certificate. Otherwise, a corresponding certificate must be obtained from a language school or similar institution. IELTS 5.0, Cambridge Examination FCE or CAE or CPE, TOEFL Paper 500 or Computer 170 or Internet 80, UNIcert® II, Duolingo with a minimum score of 100 or comparable test certificates are recognized.
