What certificates of achievement are there in the MBA and what is their scope?
The question refers to the MBA Management Excellence program.
In principle, the following examinations are planned as part of the degree program:
- Case (C): Case stands for the processing of a given case study as a representation of a concrete situation from operational practice. The aim is to apply the knowledge acquired in the module to a given problem situation. The scope of a case is 6 to 8 pages.
- Transfer thesis (TA): Transfer theses are core elements of project and transfer-oriented project competence studies. They are intended to provide orientation on the course of study, highlight the transfer performance and document the application-related benefits of the acquired knowledge. Transfer work is therefore an indicator of students' ability to transfer. They document how students are able to apply and implement teaching and learning content in their project or company. The length of a transfer paper is 6 to 8 pages.
- Presentation (P): A presentation serves the purposeful preparation of information about developed content for the presentation of this content to one or more examiners and, if applicable, students. The duration of a presentation is 15 to 20 minutes.
- Written examination (K): Written examinations are written examinations that require the completion of knowledge, transfer or application-related tasks.
- Oral examination (M): In oral examinations, the answers to knowledge-, transfer- or application-oriented questions are examined in direct conversation.
- Project study work (PSA): The project study work presents solutions to company-relevant project tasks. The student should implement the methods and findings of the course. The results must be presented and critically discussed in a colloquium before the PSA is submitted in order to discuss possible obstacles, reflect on implementation resistance and identify alternative solutions. The presentation lasts 10 to 15 minutes. The written elaboration comprises 10 to 15 pages. The presentation is a prerequisite for submitting the written elaboration of the PSA. The presentation is not graded
