What certificates of achievement are there in the M.Sc. in Business Management and what is their scope?

In principle, the following examinations are planned as part of the degree program:

• Written examination (K): Written examinations are written examinations that require the completion of knowledge, transfer or application-related tasks.
• Oral examination (M): In oral examinations, the answers to knowledge-, transfer- or application-oriented questions are examined in direct conversation.
• Case (C): A case study can be understood as the presentation of a concrete situation from operational practice. The aim is therefore to apply theoretical knowledge to a specific problem situation. It is usually worked through in four phases:
  • Confrontation with the case
  • Evaluation of the information
  • Decision-making (in the group)
  • Presentation, discussion and documentation of the results
• Presentations/speeches (P): Presentations/speeches are examinations in which students present a previously completed knowledge, transfer or application-related task in oral form. In addition to the oral presentation, accompanying slides or comparable presentation materials may also be taken into account in the assessment.
• Transfer Work (TA): Transfer theses are core elements of project and transfer-oriented project competence studies and are intended to provide all partners (students, project sponsors, university) with an orientation on the course of study, highlight the transfer performance and document the application-related benefits of the knowledge acquired. Transfer work is therefore an indicator of the students' ability to transfer. They document how students are able to apply and implement teaching and learning content in their project or company.
• Project study work (PSA): The project study paper is the first part of the transfer project. It serves to outline the transfer project with regard to the problem, research question and approach. The project study paper has a length of 10 to max. 20 pages. The results should be presented and critically discussed in order to consider obstacles, reflect on resistance to implementation and identify alternative solutions. • Study work (SA): The student research project is the second part of the transfer project. It serves to establish the theoretical and methodological basis for the Master's thesis. The student research project has a length of 30 pages. Further details on assessment, scope, duration and number of pages can be found in the module descriptions.
