Is it possible to appeal the grade?
The question refers to the framework study and examination regulations of Steinbeis University.
Students can file an appeal in writing within four weeks after the grade and its justification have been announced. In order to formulate an appeal, the person being examined must be granted access to the examination and, depending on the form of the performance record, the corresponding sample solution or justification.
The appeal must be submitted in writing to the study administration. The latter shall forward the appeal to the examiner(s) against whose decision the appeal is directed. The statement of the examiner must be brought to the attention of the examinee.
The examiners generally decide on the appeal within one month. In doing so, the assessments concerned and the reasons for the assessment are to be reviewed. The result of this review, including the grade, must be justified.
The examination board is responsible for the proper conduct of the appeal procedure. It forwards the appeal to the examiners against whose decision the appeal is directed. The board of examiners informs the examinee of the examiners' final decision on the appeal.
